Whenever I read the Harry Potter books, I get angry when Ron and Harry are complaining about how much homework they have.

YOU ARE DOING MAGIC HOMEWORK FOR YOUR MAGIC CLASSES AT YOUR MAGIC SCHOOL WITH YOUR MAGIC FRIENDS.

I WOULD GLADLY TRADE PLACES WITH YOU. WANNA DO MY MUGGLE HOMEWORK?

STOP COMPLAINING.

#if i went to fucking hogwarts i would wake up at 6 in the morning every damn day and be like I’M GOING TO DO MY HOMEWORK NOW

YEAH I MEAN I SAW THIS GUY WEARING A SHIRT ONCE AND IT SAID “SCHOOL IS AWESOME” AT THE FRONT AND AT THE BACK IT SAID “WHEN IT’S CLOSED” AND I WAS LIKE U KNOW IT WOULD’VE BEEN BETTER IF IT SAID “IF IT’S HOGWARTS” AT THE BACK INSTEAD BECAUSE OMG THAT WOULD JUST BE THE MOST EPIC DEFINITION OF AWESOME EVER AND IDK I’M JUST SAYING~ WHY DO I HAVE TO TYPE SO MUCH THOUGH

“One of the many great pleasures in reading the later volumes was recognizing just how much significant information Jo had seeded in the earlier ones —- and how beautifully she had plotted the entire story from the very beginning. For example, in Chamber of Secrets, we first see the sword of Godric Gryffindor, hear of Azkaban prison, and take a quick visit to Borgin and Burkes. And whilst none of us knew it at the time, Tom Riddle’s diary was our first introduction to the concept of the Horcrux —- something not fully explained until Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which turns out to be nothing less than the key to defeating Voldemort himself!” - David Heyman, Harry Potter Film Wizardry

Yes. It’s always the thing that I have noticed whenever I read the books. She’s practically genius.

Something About Harry, Vanity Fair October 2001. Memories of the Harry Potter of my late childhood bring tears to my eyes…

Long live!

unknown source, tell me if you’re it

Getting punched by Hermione [in Prisoner of Azkaban], that one gets brought up a bit with me. A lot of street cred was lost on that film.

Harry Potter has reached out to an estimate of 200 countries, spoke out in over 69 languages and has touched the lives of more than 400 million people. It is the phenomenon that ignores race, age, gender or religion and it has brought us together despite all our differences. We are the Harry Potter generation. ϟ
